"To all potential house buyers and sellers: I had my house listed with another Realtor for 120 days with no results. I called David for some ideas. Within minutes he had the reason my house had not sold. He suggested a course of action (a renovation) within hours. I was hesitant to spend so much money on a a renovation that might not pay off. So I just did some painting, as he had suggested also. The painting was good, but not enough to sell it. David said, I can spend $5,000 now and save $15,000 on a price decrease. "In 1994 we had listed our house with another Realtor, but the listing had expired without success. A friend had recommended David to us, and after meeting with him, he re-listed our house. He aggressively marketed the property in a variety of ways, and sold it for us in short order – and for almost full price. Our next association with David was when it was time to sell my mother-in-law’s home. We had added an extensive (and expensive) suite on the back of the house for her, while we lived in the original house and looked after her in her declining years. It was a very unusual house, and we knew it would take time to find the right buyer for the property – we estimated about six months. Again, David marketed the house in unique ways, reflecting the uniqueness of the property. He was quite willing to let me help with targeted mailings to the Realtor who had shown the property. It took almost six months to sell the home, and all through that time, David was reminding us to “be patient” rather than “drop your price, drop your price” which seems to be the strategy of some other Realtors I have dealt with. The deal was a bit complex, but David carefully and patiently explained it to us, and in the end, he not only sold our home, but also ended up selling the house I was taking in trade even before I had to take possession of it. Of course, as we were in the process of selling that home, we were looking for another. Again, David was there to assist. He had a very good idea of what we wanted, and when the “perfect” house hit the market, he made sure we saw it right away. His persistence and determination in presenting offers and counter offers eventually got us the house, and for the price we wanted to pay. Finally, as I added revenue property to our investment program, David’s knowledge and experience were of great value in the financial analysis on various properties, and making sure that the property we selected was financially viable. He helped us line up financing, and put us in touch with the trades people we would need to get the house ready for rent, and keep it looking its best. I would recommend David Agema to you without hesitation."
